SECTIONALLL CHAMPPSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday night at 9:34, I'm not kidding you when I say this, my life changed forever. Eleven point four seconds before that, we were up six, with South Side dribbling the ball down the court. They threw up a wild shot in hopes of a miracle, but as the ball bounced around and everyone scampered for the rebound, I somehow ended up with it. Protecting the crap out of it, I pivoted around creating space, and once I had that oh so necessary space I needed for celebration, I took off. Realizing that the other team had given up even though there was still five or so seconds left in the game, I sprinted down the court, one arm holding the ball, one arm up high in the air. Emily jumped into Jena's arms, Whitney into Carmen's I jumped full speed into Hillary and Kelsey. A second later all 12 of us, and our assistant coaches were huddled at center court celebrating a sectional title.

First time in 13 years. School record for most wins. NHC Conference champs for the first time in 12 years. All of this was my realization as I stood next to the hoop, cutting down my portion of the net. All of these amazing feeling swarmed my mind, leaving me speechless. The only thing that I could do was smile, luckily that was enough. I hugged Emily, tears running down our cheeks, Carmen picked me up in the air, I ran into the stands to find my dad, all of these things still two days later leave this smile plastered on my face.

I cannot truly describe what I was feeling, it was ineffable, it really was. I can repeat what happened throughout that night, go through every play, shot, and rebound, but to actually put into words the greatest thing that has ever happened to me...that is impossible. I'm so freaking happy and proud of my teammates, all twelve of us, it couldn't be done without each and every person. Our fans were incredible, no I take that back, they were frickin crazy, mad, psychotic. They were amazing in every aspect. I will NEVER forget any moment in that stretch from taking the bus at 5:15 to walking into BDUBs with a standing-o to celebrate. BEST...NIGHT...EVER.
