It opens up with Dr. Brennan complaing that she has to look at bones in a cold, dark, and wet sewer. She already has a case that she is working on, and she is the key witness in the trial the next day. She keeps making rude remarks under her breathe becuase she is working in Canada and the people are really only talking French. For the first 12 or so pages she just does that and sifts through dirt looking for some scattered remains and blood and other nonsense (of course she used odd techniques that only she would do). She then realizes that there are not only remians from the one body, but two other sets of remains.
Upon this, Brennan, Agent Ryan, and others there begin to take the case really seriously because the reamins were all female, under the age of thirteen. For the first 55 pages that I have read it is just mild discoveries and opening up the case. The only really key point was the fact that there were three young girls murdered in the sewer/basement of a pizza joint.
I wish I could have read more and I'm sure 55 pages isn't enough for a four day spread (I got the book on Monday), but I'm just going to have to be honest. With basketball getting extra serious and hopefully four games this wee, if we win tomorrow, I haven't had the time, heck I haven't had the time to do any homework really. Plus we actually had a full week of schoool! (Shocker, right?) Anyways I'm trying my best, and I'm just going to have to read 100 pages Sunday and Monday. So I'll have fun with that because this book is freaking amazing!! Anyways I have to get going, I have a game to prepare for . Wish me and my Lady Spartans good luck tomorrow night!!!
