Upon returning from the Quidiitch World Cup, Mrs. Weasley is fretting like crazy. Like any normal mother, she was worried that her family was injured or disturbed in some way by the attacks. They spent the remainder of the summer days altogether....well everyone minus Percy, he is becoming more up-tight and high maintenince than ever.
On the morning that all of the Weasley's, Harry, and Hermione return to Hogwarts, they walk downstairs to Mr. Weasley having a conversation with Mad Eye Moody with Floo Powder through the fire place. Moody and Mr. W are talking about a Death Eater that Moody caught and how Mr. W needs to help Muggles from a shooting toilet. All of them over hearing consider Mad Eye Moody to be the ugliest person that they have ever met.
When they get to Hogwarts they see that no new teachers are there, but there is a seat empty where Lupin (Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher/Harry's dad's good friend) sat last year. Dumbledore begins talking about how the year will be different and then all of a sudden the doors open wide and everyone starts freaking out. Dumbledore welcomes the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, also known as Mad Eye Moody. Harry, Ron, and Hermione instantly recognize him, and begin to start tweeking along with other students. Dumbledore then says that this year will be differnt than all of the previous years and that the students are blessed and very lucky.
This year Hogwarts will host the Tri-Wizard tournament, a contest to test the skills of students from different schools. Two schools will bring in members to put their names in the Goblet of Fire. Only people that are above age 16 (sixth and seventh year students) are allowed to compete which takes out the possibilty of Harry, Hermione, Ron, Fred, George, and Ginny to compete. This leaves some very disappointed. From those that enter, one from each school will be selected by the goblet to compete in the tournamet. It is said to be very dangerous, as many have died in the past from it.
Respone: i'm excited to see what happens with the tourney, i have a feeling that harry will be selected because he is on the cover holding the cup soo.....yeah.
